Together We Ride: Celebrating Culture, Unity, and 5 Years of Impact

2025 marks a powerful milestone in our journey — Together We Ride (TWR) turns five.
What began as a group of eight cyclists in October 2020, setting out on a Black History Tour through the streets of London, has blossomed into a vibrant, growing community. We rode past monuments like Cleopatra’s Needle, paused at Bob Marley’s former residence in Chelsea, and honoured powerful legacies at places like The Mangrove Restaurant in Notting Hill — once a buzzing hub of resistance and culture for the Black British community.

From that first ride to now, our annual Black History Tour has become a cornerstone event, with rider numbers soaring past 60 in recent years. More than just a ride, it’s become a moving celebration of history, heritage, and collective strength. And we couldn’t have done it without you — the riders, the supporters, the dreamers. Thank you for believing in the vision.

A Limited Edition Kit to Mark the Occasion

To honour our 5th anniversary, we’re proud to unveil a brand-new limited edition cycling kit, designed as a tribute to the community we’ve built and the partners who’ve helped shape us.

This kit isn’t just gear — it’s a statement. It features the logos of our partners and the heart of our journey stitched into every thread:

• Black Unity Bike Ride (BUBR) – The original spark. BUBR inspired the search for a cycling community that reflects who we are — and led to the creation of TWR.
• Leon Velo – From day one, Leon’s YouTube storytelling has captured our energy, our challenges, and our joy. His lens has shared our story with the world. Salute, brother.
• AfriCaps – A Black-owned cycling hat brand whose dedication to purpose and community inspires us daily. Shoutout to Mohammed for the incredible grassroots work he continues to do — always with humility.
• OnePlanet – Helping us frame our mission through a new lens: showing how cycling impacts health, community, economy, and the planet. Stay tuned — our work together is just getting started.
• SRAM – A driving force behind breaking down barriers in cycling. With their bold support, we’re making cycling more inclusive and more powerful than ever.
