An Unexpected Ride That Became the Highlight of the Year 

Sometimes the best moments in life are the ones unplanned, and TWR’s recent visit to the Chilterns is a testament to this. What began as a journey toward York to meet our friends Indy and Erin swiftly transformed into a thrilling adventure on the rolling hills of the Chilterns. Although unexpected complications with train schedules threatened to derail our plans, Kerine’s tireless efforts ensured that our group not only had a destination but an unforgettable day to remember. 

The Change of Plans 

York was initially on our agenda as the location for the adventure, but fate had other plans. Issues with train travel could easily have led to a day lost in frustration, but Kerine’s determination and quick thinking turned things around. She suggested the Chilterns as our alternative destination, and her choice proved nothing short of perfection. Amidst the logistics and last-minute changes, this pivot gave us the gift of a sunny Saturday adventure. 

The Chilterns: A Cyclist’s Paradise 

The Chilterns welcomed us with radiant sunshine, setting the stage for an exhilarating ride. Known for its natural beauty, rolling hills, and breathtaking views, this area is a cyclist’s dream. The air carried a hint of early summer, and the landscapes shimmered under the golden rays, beckoning us to explore its winding trails. 

As we embarked on our ride, the hills tested both our endurance and spirit. The climbs were challenging enough to make our legs ache, yet they also held a sense of reward—a feeling of accomplishment that only cyclists know too well.
